The OreKo Miniature Window with Shutters & Planter is one of the most charming detail pieces in the dollhouse and miniature catalog. A compact 46 x 46mm window frame with working shutters and an integrated flower planter box beneath the sill — the kind of architectural detail that elevates a dollhouse exterior from functional to genuinely beautiful.
With 3,800+ views and 40 purchases on Cults3D, this model consistently attracts dollhouse builders and diorama makers looking for that one piece that ties a facade together. The planter is designed as part of the window unit, making it a single cohesive piece rather than two separate components to align and glue.
Multiple versions are included to suit different printers and build goals: a flat no-support version for easy printing, a separated pieces version for multi-color or multi-material builds, a thicker wall variant, a wider planter version, and a dedicated 1:12 scale version for standard dollhouse sizing.

Multiple files are included so you can choose the right approach for your printer and build.

Flat no-support assembled version (recommended): The primary file. Designed to print flat with no supports. Best results at 0.12mm or finer. Shutters, frame, and planter print together as one clean unit.
Separated pieces version: Every element of the window is a separate file. Print each piece individually, then assemble. This is the easiest version for any printer at standard 0.20mm settings. Also ideal for printing shutters and frame in different colors.
Thicker version (window-set-thicker-version): Walls are 2.5mm thick instead of the standard thickness. Added per community request for builders who want more structural rigidity or are scaling up significantly.
Wider planter box version: The planter box is larger and wider. Better proportioned when the window is scaled up or when you want a more prominent planter display.
1:12 scale version (window-set-1-12-version): Specifically sized for standard 1:12 dollhouse scale. Use this version if you are building or furnishing a standard 1:12 dollhouse. The original file is designed for a smaller room miniature — this version matches standard dollhouse window proportions.

0.4mm
Standard on all versions.
0.08mm to 0.20mm
0.08mm for sharpest shutter and planter detail. 0.12mm or 0.16mm for optimal. 0.20mm works at standard settings.
100% throughout
100% infill recommended on all versions for solid detail pieces. The model is small enough that 100% infill adds minimal time.
None on most versions
Flat and separated versions need no supports. The see-through shutter version requires supports.

At 46mm the window is small, but the right finish makes it look exceptional at dollhouse scale. Because every surface is visible and close-up, the finishing approach matters more here than on larger pieces.
Print frame and shutters in separate colors using the separated pieces version. White or cream frame with dark green, navy, or terracotta shutters is the classic combination. The planter box looks best in a terracotta or earthy brown tone.
Texture the planter with paint. A dry-brush of light tan over a darker base color on the planter box creates a convincing ceramic or stone texture at this scale.
Add miniature plants. A tiny tuft of green static grass, a dried sprig of baby’s breath, or small punched paper flower shapes pressed into the planter box with a dot of glue complete the window unit into a scene.
Acetate glazing. Cut a 38 x 38mm piece of clear acetate or transparency film and press it behind the window opening from inside the frame. The glass effect is immediately convincing.
The Miniature Window with Shutters & Planter works as a standalone piece or as a complement to the Miniature Windows with Working Shutters Set.
The working shutters set is the larger 1:6 scale window with three design variants and the live-action filament pin hinge. This planter window is the smaller, self-contained accent piece — perfect for a corner room, a half-wall exterior, or anywhere a compact window with character works better than a full-size one.
