MTG and 3D Printed Deck Boxes: A Natural Match
Magic: The Gathering players have been customizing their setups for decades. Sleeves, playmats, dice, tokens — the MTG community loves personalization. It is no surprise that 3D printed deck boxes have become a staple at tables everywhere from Friday Night Magic to Commander nights.
A good MTG deck box needs to handle your specific deck format. Commander decks are 100 cards, often double-sleeved, which means most commercial deck boxes are either too small or have too much rattle. A 3D printed box designed for your exact sleeve setup solves that.
OreKo MTG Deck Boxes
OreKo has two MTG-themed deck boxes in the catalog, both designed for the Commander format:
MTG Fallout Deck Box — themed for the Fallout Commander set. Post-apocalyptic aesthetic with clean snap-fit construction. Compatible with double-sleeved Commander decks.
MTG Modern Horizons 3 Eldrazi Deck Box — available in two versions: Standard (single sleeve) and Dual Sleeve (double sleeve). The Eldrazi Incursion Commander deck art is referenced in the design for a thematic match.
Both boxes are tested for real Commander deck use, not just as display pieces. Cards go in and out cleanly, the lid snaps securely, and the fit is tight enough to hold cards without being difficult to open.

Commander Deck Sizing: What You Need to Know
Commander decks are exactly 100 cards. The sleeve size determines the box dimensions:
Unsleeved: 63 x 88mm standard
Single sleeve (Dragon Shield, KMC, etc.): approximately 65-66 x 91mm
Double sleeve (inner + outer): approximately 68-69 x 93-94mm
Always check the product listing to confirm which configuration a box is designed for before printing. The OreKo MTG listings specify clearly. If your sleeves are on the thicker side, print at 101-102% scale for a slightly looser fit.
Print Settings for MTG Commander Deck Boxes
Commander deck boxes are larger than standard deck boxes so settings differ slightly:
Layer height: 0.20mm for the box body. The larger size makes detail settings less necessary on the main box.
Wall lines: 4 walls recommended. A Commander deck box sees more handling than a standard deck box and benefits from the extra wall strength.
Top/Bottom layers: 5 top and 3 bottom.
Infill: 15% for the box body. 100% for any logo caps or decorative lid pieces.
Supports: None required on OreKo files.
Print time: Approximately 3-5 hours for a full Commander deck box depending on your printer speed.
